I’m a sucker for a bakery… a “real” bakery like the yummy ones in Europe. Black Bear Bakery fits the bill! After you have wiggled your way into this tiny secret space (it’s a very popular spot), you will be overwhelmed by the beauty of the fresh-made breads lining the shelves. There are abundant breakfast sweets and other delights under glass coverings on the counter. Once you have taken in the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, you will know you have reached your breakfast destination!
A personal favorite at Black Bear is the iced oatmeal cookies, a MUST. You will be pleasantly surprised at the perfect mix of sweet and chewy. Get a bag while they are still available for a later treat at Ebb & Flow. There are tables available where you can sit and have breakfast or brunch/lunch with a mimosa, if that’s more your speed. Black Bear Bakery is located at the 4 way stop on 30A at Grayton Beach. Hours are 5:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays, and closed on Sundays.
